Oh... The weirdness of me

So my wife has been harassing me to do this "seven weird things about me" segment. And when I think about it, I wonder how I'm supposed to determine what's weird, because Doesn't everybody only do what they think makes sense, so isn't this an exercise in what I do that I don't think other people do? I don't know, maybe that's weird...

#1- My clothing must fit properly, if it's maladjusted to the left or scrunched up socks, I cannot function. All must be even, loose or tight in the proper places, or I constantly fidget to make it so.

#2- This I do truly believe to be odd, and I may lose friends because of it. Please try to understand... Here's an example: I am sitting at the pc, and if i were to put more weight on my left foot, I would feel the need to do the exact same thing in return to my right foot. If I rub my left nostril and put pressure on it to the left, before I stop, I will rub it the equal amount of time to the right to "even it out". It's like there is this strong drive for symmetry within me, one not bound by any logical sense or normality... This one does lead to a lot of movement as well. It would normally go (feet): right, left, left, right. Then I'm even, get it? Sometimes it gets complicated, and doubles: right, left, left, right, left, right, right, left. I pretty much do it all day, with every touch, lean, blink etc., without thinking about it very much.

#3- One of my favorite parts of the day is when I come home at night and get to see how big the dustbunny produced in my navel during the day.

#4- On a possibly related note, I love it when I get a splinter stuck in my hand, or anywhere for that matter, because I hope that it festers so I can pop it. I have waited for a while just I can do it. Yeah, I know, sick and weird are very close sometimes. Cut me some slack.

#5- It is very difficult for me to do anything just for a few minutes. If I am going to do something around the house, I want to wait until I have an entire day, or to prepare for class on Sunday, I want hours. If I only have 30 minutes, I don't even want to start.

#6- If ever I should happen upon Antiques Roadshow, it is almost impossible for me to turn the channel. I simply must see the value for whatever is on there, but then as soon as they say it, another thing pops up. Then what can I do? I wait for the price for that one as well. And the cycle continues. At least I can tap my feet evenly while I watch...

#7- Is liking eggs with butter on them weird? How bout the fact that I cannot listen to music without singing along with it? Literally, I have sung certain songs for years, and then found by accident the correct words that I missed because 10% through the first listen I started singing!

I hope this satisfies my weird wife, and that you will be inspired to let frolic your inner weirdo...

OK, the belly button lint was funny!

And I am the same way with Antiques Roadshow...that was a good one!!!

I should make my husband do a list, too... although I might be afraid of what he'll come up with after seeing yours!!!!

yeah, and I thought I was weird...you definitely have my vote for top weirdest person who recognizes his own weirdness. Ok, I have officially used the word 'weird' too much in one week...isn't that a funny sounding word? Weird weird weird...it sounds so funny to me. I'm putting an end to this weirdness.
