Dern good kids music

What my kids are singing:

Oh God, there's none like you
in all the earth, in all the earth

Oh God, who could compare
to you, to you

Only you have no beginning
Only you could make the skies
Only you are truth unending
Only you are always wise
Lord there is none like you

For you are holy
You are holy
For you are holy
Lord you are holy

Oh God, there's none like you
in all the earth, in all the earth

Oh God, who could compare
to you, to you

Only you are never sinning
Only you have never lied
Only you cannot be tempted
Only you could never die

For you are holy
You are holy
For you are holy
Lord you are holy

Lord you are holy
Lord you are holy

Simple, yet deeply profound. Kids music that I pray will help tattoo God's holiness on their hearts for life. From Sovereign Grace Music's Awesome God kid album.

What we sang when I was a kid:

Father Abraham had many sons
Many sons had Father Abraham
I am one of them and so are you
So let's all praise the Lord.
Right arm!

Father Abraham had many sons
Many sons had Father Abraham
I am one of them and so are you
So let's all praise the Lord.
Right arm, left arm!

Do you notice a slight difference in the theological content?

Praise Him for Sovereign Grace Music. They make every day of my life better by reminding me of the Gospel through their God-saturated lyrics. Again, you can find them here

I can personally vouch for the Psalms album, the Awesome God album and the Come Weary Saints album. You will not be disappointed, or I'll eat my hat.

I like the Awesome God lyrical content, I love hearing my kids say the words. I am not crazy about the music, or at least a lot of it. It's kind of candy-pop-ish, overproduced, could be much much more natural and beautiful.

But I too, thank God for their stuff.
